Essentials for Content We Publish
The Proverbs 31 Project, Inc. has five core categories of content: Foundational Relationship with Jesus Christ, Home & Family Life, Community Influence & Involvement, The Whole Woman, and Business Acumen & Career Development. Learn more about our pillars and what they entail.
We look for:
- Content that reflects our style and tone of voice. We aim to be casual, friendly, and relatable; writing for that of a fifth grader to accommodate readers of all levels.
- Proper attribution of any outside content that is referenced.
- No more than one link to your brand’s website in the piece.
- Links to at least 2 relevant The Proverbs 31 Project pieces in your content (if applicable).
Types of Content We Accept
- Bible Studies & Breakdowns – In becoming Proverbs 31 women, we need to understand who God is. We encourage pieces that help us understand the Word of God, with actionable steps of implementation.
- Testimonies – Have you experienced something tough that has God used in your favor? We love personal accounts of testimonies and how God showed Himself strong through your situation. We do ask that you share your own testimony and not someone else’s.
- How To’s – Do you have tips or suggestions on a specific topic related to faith?
- Content that directly coincides with or falls within our organization’s pillars.
- All in all, we want each piece of content to direct our readers back to God, and strengthen their faith.
Types of Content We DO NOT Accept
- Content that contradicts or goes against the Bible, the infallible word of God. Neither do we accept content that is offensive or inaccurate.
- Content that has been covered before. While topics may be similar, we prefer that they are not the same. Please search our database to ensure that the topic has not been covered.
- Content that contains too many links.
- Overly promotional content.
- This is not a site to air grievances. We do not accept content that tears down or provides an opinion on any church, and/or clergy.
Formatting Tips
- When writing, please utilize H2, H3, and H4 headings to organize your content. Please use them in the correct order, as necessary.
- Keep paragraphs short, no more than 5 sentences.
- Add bulleted and/or numbered lists whenever possible.
- If you use a numbered list, please format it as number + period (1.)
- ALWAYS include an introduction and conclusion in your piece.
- When images are included from other publications, please cite the image source as: “Image source” and hyperlink that text with the page you found the image on.
- Please spell/grammar check your work by using tools like Grammarly or Microsoft Word.
- Consider using the Hemingway Editor to check for difficult sentence structures and readability.
